about the Danish Education Network
Founded in 2004
The Danish Education Network is a community for Danish NGOs, institutions, and actors working with education development and education assistance in the Global South. The network brings together organisations with a shared ambition to strengthen the quality, coordination, and expertise of Danish aid to education.
Through knowledge exchange, thematic groups, workshops, and joint analyses, the Education Network promotes learning, collaboration, and dialogue on education development. We create spaces for engagement between civil society, researchers, donors, and decision-makers, with the aim of contributing to sustainable education systems and better opportunities for children, young people, and adults in the Global South.
The network is open to all Danish organisations and institutions with a professional interest in education and development. Together, we strengthen Denmark’s contribution to education as a pathway to equality, democracy, and social change.
The Education Network also serves as Denmark’s national coalition within the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), ensuring that Danish civil society contributes to global advocacy for the right to free, inclusive, and publicly funded quality education for all.
